Anne Hawes has run Richmond Farm Stables in Barns Green, near Horsham, for over thirty years. We offer full livery, schooling livery, a horse share and lease scheme, and stud services — on a family-run yard where the owner lives on site and every horse is known by name.
We are not a competition yard, and we don't offer DIY or assisted livery. If you're looking for somewhere quiet, properly run, and genuinely friendly — that's us.

About Anne
Meet Anne Hawes
West Sussex Livery is run by Anne Hawes, third generation of a local farming family who has owned horses all her life. She offers a unique service within the horse business and has an instinctive understanding of horses and their needs; as well as the needs of riders and allowing them to achieve their goals.
It is a very friendly and social yard with a really great group of sharers, owners and staff where everyone is happy to muck in with each other — there will always be a helping hand and someone to chat to if needed.
Anne offers stud services (see Kilmurray Bay Mirah), and her very popular horse share and lease scheme near Horsham — ideal if you'd love your own horse without the full commitment. Unfortunately there will be no DIY or assisted liveries.

Schooling Livery
A specialist service for horses, ponies and riders who need additional support — whether it's building confidence, improving behaviour under saddle, re-schooling after time off, or simply establishing better habits. Each programme is tailored individually, with pricing to reflect the work involved.
From £320
per calendar month — half share
Horse Share / Lease
Price pcm for pony or horse share plus one calendar month's deposit which can be used for the last month.
Rider Insurance recommended — World Horse Welfare or BHS
Shared costs: Shoes, Worming, Clipping and trimming, Osteopath, Flu and Tetanus jab when necessary.
